Timeless, elegant, memorable: just three of the words guests use to describe the East Lodge experience. A warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere coupled with outstanding hospitality makes East Lodge a haven of peace and tranquillity in the heart of the stunningly beautiful Peak District National park.

Set in 10 acres of beautiful gardens where the relaxing sound of the countryside is a magnificent antidote to the sounds and stresses of the city, yet you are within easy reach of Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester and only 2 hours from London. It is also the nearest hotel to Chatsworth House, recently voted Britain's favourite stately home.

East Lodge, at 88%, is the highest rated AA 3 star hotel in the area, has a Gold Award from VisitBritain, features in the Good Hotel Guide and is the winner of the prestigious Johansens 'Most Excellent Customer Service' award.
So as you'd expect there's a style and charm about the hotel with its welcoming reception hall, friendly and relaxed Garden Room, licensed bar and award winning restaurants.

All 12 bedrooms are individually furnished and have their own distinctive personalities. There are 5 executive rooms, 4 superior rooms and 3 standard rooms. This includes a ground floor room with full facilities for the disabled. There is even a haunted room!!
The bedrooms are fully en-suite and come with all the facilities you would expect for a pleasant and relaxing overnight stay, including trouser press, colour TV, DVD's, and Broadband internet access.

The award winning Terrace Restaurant.has the well deserved accolade of two AA Rosettes. Start the day with our hearty full Derbyshire breakfast then sample our delicious afternoon cream tea or a memorable evening meal, accompanied by a well chosen wine from our extensive selection, you'll find the food service and atmosphere right for every occasion.

Relaxing rooms, restful nights

Your en-suite bedroom will be meticulously clean, cared for and quiet. The rooms have been tastefully decorated and modernised whilst retaining their unmistakeably traditional feel. You will feel at home here. Our carefully selected Keiji toiletries soothe and relax you while you soak up the pleasures of a hot bath or shower after a day's work or play.

You will find bathrobes and all the facilities you would expect, including colour television with DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones, trouser press, hair dryer, ironing facilities, Broadband Internet access, in house movies and a library of DVDs.
Our 12 rooms include Junior Suites, executive rooms and standard rooms. Two of the rooms have four-poster beds and one is haunted! … However the lady spirit is a delightfully benign presence who only adds to the charm of East Lodge.

Public rooms
A feature of East Lodge is the beautiful and extensive gardens which add to the feeling of tranquillity. The Garden Room bar is an ideal place to relax with a delicious afternoon cream tea, a pre-dinner cocktail or to enjoy coffee and a 'nightcap'?

The elegantly decorated Wye and Derwent rooms are ideal for meetings or private dining and you will find their air-conditioned ambience quite delightful. These rooms can also be used for weddings, meetings or conferences.
We believe that a holiday or short break here should be a rest, allowing you to unwind, absorb the very distinct local flavour of the area - and enjoy an atmosphere of quiet contemplation and feeling of well being.

The comfortable ambience of East Lodge is the perfect contrast to the more cosmopolitan feel of the large hotel bar and lounge. Such is the unobtrusiveness of the surroundings and the friendly, relaxed, gentle care of the staff that you could be forgiven for spending lazy days here with a good book. Let us lull you into that wonderful sense of relaxation and the glow of warmth that only a satisfying day followed by an exquisite meal can bring.
